"Regular" and "Processor" grade Dyne-a-pak trays are made from a very light material: polystyrene foam. This material takes up very little natural resources because it is composed of more than 90% air. Polystyrene collection and recycling programs are in place in different regions. Ask your municipality if programs exist in your area. Dyne-a-pak products meet the requirements of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Health Canada for direct contact with food.
